Shopping for food every week can be stressful! Especially when it feels like we don’t know when to buy organic. Each year the EWG provides us with the “dirty dozen” and “clean fifteen” lists that help us navigate our produce shopping a bit easier. The Dirty Dozen list highlights the 12 fruits and vegetables with the highest levels of pesticide residues. These are best bought organic to reduce exposure. The Clean Fifteen list includes the 15 fruits and vegetables with the lowest levels of pesticide residues, making them safer to buy non-organic.
